"Felt really comfortable in that moment (in the playoff), and then just once you get on the green, I've been rolling it well, and I hit really good putts in the last three in regulation, so just pick my line and get in the moment and just trust the line. It was awesome to see it go in," he said.

"My speed has been really good all week. I think I maybe had one or two three-putts, but just really good speed. Just really dialed into my spot, and that's all I did. I was just thinking about rolling it over that spot, and it was downhill. The greens were so perfect, breaking right to left, and I hit my spot, and it went in."

3M OPEN
Congratulations to Scotty Cameron putter loyalist and Titleist full line player Lee Hodges who won his first PGA TOUR event, the 3M Open, trusting a GOLO 6 Tour prototype. Lee gained over six shots (+6.196) on the field putting with the model he put in play for the first time earlier this season at the Waste Management Open.

The 28-year-old closed out the first wire-to-wire victory this season on the PGA TOUR (and the first one in 3M Open history) with a 4-under 67 at TPC Twin Cities that included two Sunday eagles on the par-5 6th and 12th holes, each set up by his TSR2 9.0 driver and TSR3 15.0 fairway metal, and then converted with his NEW Scotty Cameron GOLO 6 putter. The rounded compact mallet, with a mid-bend shaft and new dual-milled face technology, is sized in between the previous GOLO 5 and 7 models.

“Biggest thing players like is the round shape combined with a really clean top line,” said Scotty Cameron tour rep Brad Cloke. “What that does is it gives players some freedom on big, breaking putts when they get on some slopey greens on tours. Lee Hodges is one player that mentions that since going to the GOLO 6, that has helped him with breaking putts, helps him kind of see the line, feel the line a little bit better as opposed to getting locked in.”

With the win, Hodges moves to No. 33 in the FedEx Cup Points Standings and is projected to jump to No. 54 in the Official World Golf Ranking, the highest position of his career.

The duo combined for 12 birdies and an eagle over the two alternate-shot rounds, posting a Friday 66 to pair with their Sunday 65. During Thursday and Saturday’s foursomes format, they turned in rounds of 64 and 63. During Sunday’s final round, the duo converted seven birdies from within 7 feet (3 ft 10 in, 3 ft 6 in, 1 ft 1 in, 6 ft 4 in, 2 in, 5 ft 8 in).

RILEY ON HIS PHANTOM X 7.2 TOUR PROTOTYPE PUTTER: "The way it looks, all the square lines, I feel like it frames the ball really well and just everything sits super square. I've always been a big believer in that if you're really comfortable looking over it and everything feels square, it's just going to set up for good putting. So that's what I’ve done."

THE CHEVRON CHAMPIONSHIP
The winner of The Chevron Championship gamed a Scotty Cameron GOLO 5 Tour Prototype putter en route to her first major. On the 71st hole of the tournament, the eventual champion faced a lengthy must-make birdie putt. She rolled it in to get to 9 under and then brushed in a short birdie putt on the 72nd hole to post 10 under and take the clubhouse lead. On the first hole of the playoff, she put the finishing touches on her victory by rolling in a mid-range birdie putt for three in a row to close out the tournament.

"I knew on that last putt, all I had to do was just do my routine, read the putt how I usually do, and just hit this putt because I've hit that putt a million times and I knew I could make it,” she said.

KORN FERRY TOUR (April 23, 2023)
LECOM SUNCOAST CLASSIC

For the week, he ranked second in Putts per GIR (1.636).

"It feels great, it’s awesome, fun, it was a blast. Just putted out of my mind. Missed a short one on 8 today and yesterday, today for par, but other than that like I pretty much just made everything. It was kind of silly but it was fun, it was a blast. I’ve been working hard on my putting. Didn’t keep my card last year and kind of looked at where I was at and where I needed to improve. I needed to improve on my putting."

The winner began his final nine holes by rolling in an 18-foot birdie putt on No. 10 to extend his advantage, which he built on with two more birdies on Nos. 11 and 12. For the week, the winner recorded zero 3-putts, and he ranks 4th in 3-putt avoidance for the 2022-23 season (1.04%).

CHAMPION HOLES KEY PUTTS DOWN THE STRETCH WITH SCOTTY CAMERON PUTTER: The winner of the WM Phoenix Open relied on his Pro V1 golf ball and his scoring clubs down the stretch to pull away from the field and finish off his two-shot victory. The champion rolled in an eagle putt on No. 13 from 21 feet, 11 inches with his Scotty Cameron Timeless TT (Tour Type) GSS Tour Prototype putter to regain his lead on the back nine. A clutch 15-foot par save on No. 16 extended his advantage with two holes to play.

The now two-time WM Phoenix Open champion first put a Newport 2-style putter in play exactly a year ago at TPC Scottsdale, and he went on to win four times in six starts with the new flatstick. The reigning Masters Champion’s current putter is the exact same model as his putter from last season but with a flatter lie angle. Prior to his switch at last year’s WM Phoenix Open, he had previously been using a Newport-style Super Rat 1 tour prototype and worked with Scotty Cameron Tour Rep Brad Cloke to dial in his setup.

"He just wanted to switch things up a little bit and give himself a slightly different look heading into 2022," said Cloke on the winner’s move to his current model. "Prior to visiting us in the Studio, he’d been messing around with an older Newport 2 Timeless he had at home. He’d added bunch of lead tape to the sole to try and get it to a similar swingweight as his Super Rat. He really liked the profile, but the feel wasn’t exactly where he wanted it, so we went to work on building him a new setup with adjustable weighting."

Five final round birdies – four of which came in his final nine holes – saw Bekker maintain his lead over the competition, capping off a stellar performance at Fancourt Golf Resort.

FARMERS INSURANCE OPEN
It’s now five wins and counting for Max Homa with a Scotty Cameron Phantom X putter model in the bag. The run began at the 2021 Genesis Invitational, where Homa, gaming a Phantom X 11.5, became the first player to win with a Phantom X model putter on the PGA TOUR. Four months later, he switched to the Phantom X 5.5 Tour Prototype, which he used to win the last two Fortinet Championships, as well as the Wells Fargo Championship last May.

This week, Homa gained more than 4 ½ strokes on the field putting (+4.595), ranking ninth for the week. He gained 3.46 strokes during the final round alone. Said Homa, on his switch to Phantom X: “I was just struggling with face control with my putter. So I tried a few mallets, ended up going with one of the Phantoms and it just felt like it swung a bit better. It didn’t feel like I needed to work so much with my hands to release the putter. And at that time that’s really what I needed and then I got hooked on them.

"I think you almost don't have to do as much with your hands, so you can just focus on the big muscles. And I feel like, especially with putting, especially when you’re nervous, that’s a huge part of being consistent and having a lot of repetition. I felt like that was something that I was missing. And when I switched to that, I felt like it just became a lot more predictable just because I could take out a variable. Speed control became much easier with the Phantom style. I felt like because of the weight of the head or just the way it swung, I just felt like it was a lot easier to control my putts from 15 to 25 feet. That’s where I’ve typically struggled. That’s definitely the most obvious impact I saw."

Scotty Cameron Tour Putter Victories

"I think we work a lot on alignment with my putting, with getting the face square to the target line and something about the way they set up, I feel like they’re very square. I feel like that’s helped, but I really do think that the speed control has been the main benefactor (to my wins), holing a couple extra 10 to 20 footers. And that typically is mostly speed based, less start line than the closer putts."

PGA TOUR LATINOAMÉRICA (December 18, 2022)

Henley, 33, led the field in driving accuracy (78.6%) while finishing second in both Scrambling (90.5%) and One Putts (42). Said Henley: “I just feel the consistency throughout my bag is just unbelievable. Every club that I’ve hit, I don’t feel like I’ve ever hit a ball that’s gone way farther than I thought or way shorter. The distance control (with my Pro V1x) is outstanding. The spin around the greens is outstanding.”

KIM ROLLING WITH SCOTTY CAMERON PUTTER: Playing a Scotty Cameron Timeless TT (Tour Type) GSS Tour Prototype putter, Kim gained more than six (+6.052) strokes on the greens, averaging 1.651 putts per green in regulation.

“I’ve always putted my best with a blade,” Kim said. “I was using a mallet for a couple of years, but I’ve won a lot of my tournaments with a blade, and I wanted to come back, kind of use something natural. Scotty and Paul (Vizanko) really helped me with this piece and it looks great with the mint blue (paintfill). It’s been in the bag for a really long time now.”

FORTINET CHAMPIONSHIP
Seemingly as fast as one season ends another begins. And, with the Fortinet Championship kicking off the 2022-23 PGA TOUR season, Max Homa secured another victory on Sunday, September 18, 2022, with his trusty Scotty Cameron Phantom X 5.5 Tour Prototype. It was Homa’s fourth PGA TOUR title taken with a Scotty Cameron Phantom X putter model in the bag.

The run began at the 2021 Genesis Invitational, where Homa, gaming a Phantom X 11.5, became the first player to win with a Phantom X model putter on the PGA TOUR. The same putter was in his hands this week in Napa, where he gained more than four strokes on the field (+4.003/9th).

Said Homa, on his switch to Phantom X: “I was just struggling with face control with my putter.
